Goodman Law Firm OWI Under 21 Defending Drivers Throughout Iowa

OWI Under 21 in Monona County

Instructor-Level Training for Young Drivers & Their Families

An underage driver can face license consequences at a blood alcohol concentration far below the adult legal limit. At Goodman Law Firm, I represent young drivers and explain the criminal case, Iowa’s under-21 alcohol rules, and the evidence that may shape the defense.

I’m Attorney Bryan Goodman, and I have 17 years of experience defending clients against DUI charges. My practice focuses on DUI and OWI defense for adult, underage, and commercially licensed drivers. Clients work directly with me throughout the case instead of having it passed among different points of contact.

Call (712) 373-2621 to discuss an OWI under 21 allegation and the next steps available to your family.

Technical Review of Underage OWI Evidence

Police observations and test results can be examined closely. I evaluate the initial traffic stop, roadside exercises, and breath-machine calibration when preparing a defense. I also determine whether the officer followed required procedures and whether the records support the conclusions reported after the stop.

I’m certified as a DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor, which qualifies me to teach police officers the protocols used during roadside evaluations. Standardized field sobriety testing consists of structured exercises officers use to look for signs of impairment. My instructor-level training informs how I assess the officer’s instructions, demonstrations, observations, and scoring.

I’ve also completed Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement training, which addresses the recognition of alcohol- and drug-related impairment. My DataMaster DMT Operator training provides additional technical context when I examine breath-test administration, instrument records, and calibration evidence. These credentials inform my assessment of whether the evidence supports the allegation against a young driver.
